Description
This is a great Wehrmacht (Heer) M36 tunic. It has shoulderboards with “37” numbers on it, which stand for Infanterie Regiment Osnabrück. For more information on this IR, see this link:
https://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gliederungen/Infanterieregimenter/IR37.htm
The tunic is in great condition, there is one almost invisable minor hole on the left sleeve (see detail picture) and two minor holes on the lower end of the left sleeve (almost impossible to see). All green wool cloth is further excellent. On the collar on the inside are some moth damages (not visible from the front, without “lifting” the collar). There is a leather dagger hanger with metallic hook on the left side on the inside for attaching a dagger. The tunic has been found after the war by a first generation dutch collector and has since been in no other collection before. Nothing has been altered or changed since it was found. It is still in the same condition as it was during the war.
On the front on the right chestpocket are loops for an award and there is a small double ribbonbar (Feldspange) with Iron Cross and Ostmedal ribbons on it. On the left chest is an original hand attached bullion eagle. The unform was only light worn and is in very good condition.
