Description
German patriotic group Christmas figures candy holders / Christmastree decorations.
Made of pressed paper. Most propbably these date from before 1934 when the RZM rules came in place and the production of items like this was prohibited.
The group consists of:
- Large Christmas Santaclaus in german military “uniform” with pickelhaube on it’s head (29 centimeters in height)
- A “Dicke Bertha” 42 centimeters grenade with rope for hanging in a Christmastree (12 centimeters in height)
- 5 christmastree baubles in the form of World WarI and II helmets, two with swastika’s (6 centimeters in height)
All 7 are are military themed.
The helmets and 42 cm grenade were intended to be used as christmastree decorations. The Santaclaus was to be placed under it. All besides the two swastika helmets can be opened. Collectors concsensus tells that they were to be filled with candy during Christmas days.
VERY RARE to find! This is the only such complete Christmas set i’ve ever encountered.
A rare set of original christmastree decorations.
