Description
This is a NSDAP Kreisleitung vehicle pennant complete with it’s celluloid protective cover. This was intended for a Kreisleiter (Districtleader) of the NSDAP.
It is in obvious used condition, but still of the highest quality and very impressive in hand. Some objects just scream history and this is one of those. When in hand one can not wonder where this must all have been and what history it has experienced, it is very impressive and shows that it was intended for someone popular, the quality is albeit used simply amazing.
The pennant and cover are both double sided with the cloth pennant having on both sides a hand applied gold bullion German eagle with a swastika in it’s claws and flanked by the letters “KL”, which of course stand for “Kreisleitung”. The celluloid cover shows some wear and tear, but it’s clear that it protected the pennant very well.
Overall i’d rate it easily “GOOD” amd complete, with all four pressbuttons still present and only a minimum of cracks in the cover.
These Kreisleiter vehicle pennants are very hard to find in ANY condition, and if one surfaces it’s cover is often missing. Im not aware of another for sale at the moment.
