Description
This is a rare original dutch army (Nederlands Leger voor 1940) per-1940 coarse wool tunic + very rare 1938 dated breeches -> Huzaren hoornblazer Nederlandse Mobilisatie (Soldaat te paard) uniform grove wol / Dutch Army before 1940 mobilisation Husar tunic + breeches.
The tunic is made of the best quality soft “coarse wol” [grove wol] and was for “Manschappen” (enlisted men). These lower rank’s uniforms are nowadays near impossible to find.
The tunic is complete with all seven large dutch lion buttons and shoulderboards in one type with smaller buttons. Also the pressbuttons under the breastpcokets are still there and in funcional condition. On the sleeve’s are so called “Husaren Bananenschillen” (dutch sleeve insignia for lightly armed horseman).
Overal the tunic is (obviously) in typical worn condition. On the front is on the right sleeve one little moth nip, a few more are on the back. On the shoulder above part is a large colored stain, this gives the tunic a lot of character.
The breeches are with leather inforcement (for horseriding of course) and are very intersting (and rare!) CM1938 stamped, as well as size 98. These breeches/trousers are very hard to find. There are a few month bites, but nothing too disturbing.
This is a very VERY rare to find original dutch “Huzaren hoornblazer” uniform from the mobiliation period. Only the very first time i can offer it.
