Description
This is a Hitlerjugend (HJ) telegram.
Complete with the original and adressed postal enveloppe it was sent in to the adress of the recipient. This is rare to find so complete as the enveloppes are amost almost missing from German telegrams.
The colorfull design is by famous german artist Ludwig Hohlwein and shows a Hitlerjugend member at a Nurnberg Rally. It dates to 1935.
Sent on 14 september 1935, this is the actual date from the Reichsparteitag 1935. Sent to Gisele Oefelein in the Fraunhoferstrasse in München, by her father Alfred. The message on the telegram reads:
“Gut angekommen, Wetter Schoen, Gruesse Vater, noch keine Bekannte getroffen” [Arrived well, The weather is good, greetings father, haven’t seen any acquaintances].
In very good condition. Colorfull. This would make a great displaypiece when framed in any collectingroom.
Not so easy to find anymore as they used to be, as most are sitting in collections nowadays.
